Discussion on the future of aviation medical rescue

As an important part of the second session of the BFA global health forum, the aviation medical rescue forum was held on the morning of the 4th with the support of the Qingdao Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the Qingdao Municipal Health Commission, and sponsored by the chairman committee of the BFA global health forum and Qingdao emergency center. The forum attracted about 150 guests from domestic and foreign aviation medical rescue experts, enterprise representatives and so on. They exchanged and shared around the topic of "aviation medical rescue" and discussed the future of aviation medical rescue in China.

"The cost of helicopter ground rescue is about eight times that of ambulance, but its response speed and range are 17 times that of ambulance." At the beginning of the forum, Ding Yue, President of general aviation branch of China Air Transport Association, cited a set of data to emphasize the effectiveness of aviation medical rescue. However, he also said that China's aviation rescue is still in its infancy, "compared with foreign developed countries, our gap is still relatively large." Ding Yue admits that there are many reasons for the gap, and the unsound payment system is one of the most important reasons. At the same time, the problems of airspace reform, transport echelon capacity, safety level, supporting policies and aviation industry development also hinder the development of aviation medical rescue.

Li Jinnian, chairman of China Aviation Medical Rescue alliance, also believes that China's aviation medical rescue system is not perfect and the development mode is not clear. He suggested that the key to China's aviation medical rescue is to integrate medical institutions, rescue institutions, commercial insurance, equipment and infrastructure, so as to realize complementary advantages and cooperation, and form a system to solve the problem that ordinary people can not afford aviation medical rescue.

Qingdao, as one of the first batch of comprehensive demonstration areas of national aviation industry, is taking the lead to continuously drive the rapid development of aviation medical rescue in the peninsula region. In 2017, Qingdao emergency center took the lead in establishing the peninsula aviation medical rescue alliance composed of 51 member units. In 2019, Qingdao will become the national aviation medical rescue joint pilot city. How to promote the better development of aviation medical rescue in Qingdao? At the round table forum, participants also shared their views. Su Qinglin, chairman of Qingdao United General Aviation Industry Development Co., Ltd., said that the construction of aviation medical rescue infrastructure still needs to be strengthened, and the training of nurses, pilots and other professionals also needs to be strengthened. "We look forward to forming Qingdao experience of aviation medical rescue and promoting it to the whole country."
