On the afternoon of June 2, the second session of the Boao Forum for Asia Global Health Forum held its opening meeting. Li Bin, vice chairman of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, delivered a keynote speech.

President Margaret Chan presided over the forum. Li Baodong, Secretary General of the forum, and Liu Jiayi, Secretary of Shandong provincial Party committee, delivered welcome speeches on behalf of the organizers. Ban Ki Moon, chairman of the forum, sirington, Princess of Thailand, Zhou Xiaochuan, vice chairman of the forum, Yasuo Fukuda, chairman of the forum Advisory Committee, former Prime Minister of Japan, forum director, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jennie Shipley, and director general of the World Health Organization, Tan Desai, delivered speeches respectively.

More than 1000 delegates from governments, international organizations, business circles, academia and media attended the opening ceremony.
